Quebec Lighthouse Day - Pointe-au-Père Lighthouse

Young and old alike, come and explore the inspiring world of lighthouses, pilots and navigation. Bring your picnic! Parka, the mascot, and other surprises await you!

At the Lighthouse Station

• 10:30 a.m.: Meet a former lighthouse keeper!

Chat with Daniel Saint-Pierre (duration 30-40 min)

A native of Bic, Daniel Saint-Pierre has been dispatched to lighthouses throughout the estuary for over a dozen years. He spent his early and later years as a lighthouse keeper on Île Bicquette.

• 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Spotlight on pottery!

Come and meet La poteuse (Le Bic).

Create a new mug design on paper. One winner will be selected from among the entries and will receive their own unique piece, handmade by La poteuse, over the course of the summer!

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Fun and games!

The Parks Canada team will put your knowledge to the test!

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Rally! How well do you know the lighthouse station?

• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Choose your tattoo!

Choose your temporary airbrush tattoo and sport the colours of the lighthouse station!

• 2 p.m.: Parka visit!
