The content of these sites is produced by Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent to provide Internet users with direct access to tourism information for the region, as well as news and information relevant to the tourism industry. They also present the various services offered by the organization.
Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent holds the copyright to the documents, photos, texts and graphic elements posted on its various sites. 1. Personal and confidential information collected
Personal and confidential information is requested when you become a member of Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent, register for an event, enter a contest, subscribe to a newsletter, request information or order a brochure. This information is used to respond to your request, send out newsletters and keep statistics on visitor numbers.
The personal and confidential information you agree to provide is protected in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information in Quebec (Bill 25), to protect the privacy of its citizens, and any other applicable law.
If you provide other information when communicating with Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent by e-mail, such as reporting a copyright infringement or an invasion of privacy, it will only be used to respond to your request. Where applicable, the personal and confidential information you agree to provide is protected in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information and any other applicable legislation.
2. Security
Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent uses security measures, including recognized encryption methods, to guarantee the confidentiality of your e-mail address at all times, as well as other information collected when you subscribe to a newsletter, enter a contest, request information, order a brochure or post a comment on the blog.
3. Other information collected automatically
As soon as you access one of our sites, an exchange of information takes place automatically between the computer you are using, the site server and the Google Analytics servers, a third party responsible for producing site traffic statistics. This exchange of information is necessary for the proper operation of the site.
- the domain name of your Internet service provider and your IP address;
- the type of browser and operating system used to access the site;
- the date and time of your access to the site;
- the pages of the site you visit;
- the address of the site of origin.
The information is kept for statistical purposes, in particular to count the number of visitors, the most frequently visited pages and the technology used by Internet users. It is also stored in data logs for site security purposes and to produce visitor statistics. The information contained in the site’s data logs may be communicated to third parties in the event of security checks or law enforcement investigations. It is not used for any other purpose.
Websites use two types of cookies: temporary and persistent.
The temporary cookie is required for technological and security reasons inherent in Internet browsing. This file is stored in your computer’s RAM and is automatically deleted when you leave the site. The temporary cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information.
The persistent cookie is stored on your hard drive. It contains data enabling your computer to be identified.
