History and heritage
The region still shows plenty of traces of its past, particularly its interesting history due to its proximity to the United States, such as the remnants of Fort Ingall, which shines the light on the border conflict between the US and Canada in the 1800s. There’s also a lot to learn about the region’s role in the Prohibition at the Vieille Gare de Rivière-Bleue and the Festival du Bootlegger.
