Where are the best hiking spots in the Bas-Saint-Laurent to enjoy nature and admire the fast-changing colors of the trees?

Here are the TOP 5 of our favorite hiking spots!

National parks that are a delight to visit

Bas-Saint-Laurent’s two national parks will surprise you with kilometers of hiking in the woods.

With family or friends, parc national du Bic and parc national du Lac-Témiscouata are the ideal places to admire the fall colors and breathe in the fresh air.

Keep an eye on the program, too, as there are plenty of activities available on site.

The highest reaches of the Canyon des Portes de l’Enfer

This open-air site offers an experience rich in sensations and color. In fact, it’s the ideal place for a family autumn walk.

The 20 kilometers of perfectly laid-out footpaths, the 300 steps of the descent to Les Portes d’Enfer, the Portes d’Oniria and the Route du Diable will let you discover magical places.

The impressive 90-metre suspension bridge over the Rimouski River is a sight to behold.

Enjoy the view of the river from the Belvédère Beaulieu

This autumn, discover or rediscover a Bas-Saint-Laurent treasure: the Belvédère Beaulieu.

It’s the perfect place for a walk along the trail, with the best views of the river. Perfectly equipped for enjoying the splendor of the St. Lawrence River, the trails and belvedere are also accessible to cyclists.

It’s a must-see stop on the Route des Navigateurs.

A park along the river

With 10 km of coastal hiking trails, Parc côtier Kiskotuk offers both forest and maritime landscapes.

In the Birdwatching Site sector, the trail starts out semi-wooded, then becomes more mountainous. Once you reach the summit, the panoramic view of the region is breathtaking.

In the Passereaux sector, you’ll discover various natural environments in the area, such as the salt marsh, coniferous forest and peat bog, all dotted with viewpoints where you can take your time to enjoy the scenery.

For the more adventurous, Île Verte is still accessible by ferry!

SEBKA’s breathtaking trails

In Saint-André de Kamouraska, the 10 kilometers of SEBKA trails will help you discover the flora and fauna of the Bas-Saint-Laurent.

Using the cliffs or flats near the river, the trails lead to belvederes offering observation points on grandiose autumn landscapes.

For the more adventurous, the SEBKA is also a quality climbing area, unique in Québec.
