Looking to enjoy summer in an enchanting setting? Saint-Mathieu-de-Rioux in Bas-Saint-Laurent is the perfect destination for those looking to relax in the heart of nature while enjoying a host of activities.

Its jewel, Lac Saint-Mathieu, is home to the only public beach in the MRC Les Basques. Lined with fine sand, it’s perfect for a day out with family or friends. During high season, you can swim under the supervision of a lifeguard, rent a kayak or paddleboard for a leisurely paddle on the water, or simply enjoy the sunshine and exceptional scenery.
