Snowmobiling in the Basque region, a small area with huge potential.

The MRC des Basques has a precious asset in its pocket, its geographical location! In fact, it allows sports enthusiasts to make several loops during their stay. Surrounded by 3 major MRCs, snowmobilers can leave either from the Les Pistolets Snowmobile Club relay, or from Trois-Pistoles or the surrounding villages and complete loops:

• One-day loop going towards the MRC of Rivière-du-Loup and returning inland, Saint-Hubert-de-Rivière-du-Loup, Saint-Cyprien, Saint-Clément, Saint-Jean-de- God and return to the relay.
• One-day loop going around Lake Témiscouata.
• One-day loop heading towards Rimouski and doing the Monts-Notre-Dame circuit.

The trails aregroomed by the Les Pistolets snowmobile club.  Their rigorous grooming and the quality of their trails offer many possibilities to snowmobilers who choose to discover our territory. Visitors will discover a diversity of landscapes: snow-covered forests, river views and picturesque villages.

The Les Pistolets relay is located near Trois-Pistoles and is accessible via Route 293. If you’re snowmobiling, you won’t want to miss it, as Route 5 passes right by the relay’s parking lot. So this relay is very accessible, whether by car or snowmobile!

As soon as you enter the Relais des Pistolets, you’re welcomed like a family! The place is warm and inviting, with good food and beverage service. It’s the ideal place to warm up and enjoy the famous hamburgers from Cantine Danmo, caterer for the 2025 season!
